Clark Addison Shepherd High School, Shepherd, TX. Class of 2024. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Michelle Durden. Clark Addison has served as Percussion Captain for two years. He is one of the most dedicated and resilient students I have ever met. He has many music accomplishments under his belts including Area Band and being a three time State Solo and Ensemble Qualifier.

Ezra Marinell Agpaoa Mariner High School, Everett, WA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Christopher Angelos. Ezra is a senior clarinet player, section leader and band president. The past two years she has been accepted into the WA All-State ensembles and this year into WIBC. Ezra plans to attend the University of Washington next fall where she hopes to study clarinet performance and Music Education.

Seth Akridge is a remarkable student with superior musicianship, leadership, dependability, and loyalty. Serving as Band President during the 2023-24 school year, he demonstrated high standards for academic excellence, ranking in the Top 5 of his senior class. Seth embodies servant leadership and is a friend to all.
Sam Alaimo Dallas High School, Dallas, PA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Jeffrey Brown. Sam was a member of the 2023 PMEA All-State Concert Band and the 2024 PMEA All-State Wind Ensemble.
Elijah Aldrich Charleston High School, Charleston, AR. Class of 2024. Instrument: Horn, Director: Joshua Uhrich. Elijah is the quintessential music student. He devours music as if his life depends on it. He has played clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, and french horn in his time in the Charleston bands.
Jackson Allen Thomas Jefferson High School, Denver, CO. Class of 2025. Instrument: trumpet, Director: Robin Morrissey. Jack was second chair in the trumpet section and leader for the section. He was selected for the Top of the Nation Honor Band and the district honor band. Jack was president of Tri-M Music Honor Society. He participated in marching band, concert band, jazz band and pit orchestra.

Shelby Badger is an outstanding clarinet student and musician at DeKalb High School. She performs in multiple ensembles, playing a variety of instruments and genres, and was the head drum major for the Baron Brigade's 2023 show, Journey to the Light.
Margaret Baeta Norton High School, Norton, MA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Michael Konnerth. This student was a four year trombone player, active member of the school pep band and instrumental in the program as a leader. As a female trombone player she was honored as a member of the All New England Band at both the Plymouth State University and UMass-Amherst invitations. She is attendee UNH with a major is BSW and Minor or Major in Performance.

Christopher Baket South Pike High School, Magnolia, MS. Class of 2024. Instrument: Baritone, Director: Leonard McDonald. Christopher has been an over achiever since his first day of band. H has represented our school at the state level for three and has placed fist chair at state and the district levels. He is truly an outstanding musician.
Jackson Ballard Colquitt County High School, Moultrie, GA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Ryan Borger. Joined in sixth grade. Continues with marching band in eighth playing Tenors. Became section leader of drumline senior year.
John Matthew Ballard South Brunswick High School, Southport, North Carolina. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Michael J. Palmer. Matthew grew tremendously over his 4 years, from winning "Most Improved Musician" as a sophomore to serving the band as assistant drum major and brass captain his senior year. He was a 3 time all-county band selection, 2 time all-region jazz selection, and also participated at UNCP Honor Band, UNCP Honor Jazz, and ECU Summer Band Camp. He was also an active performer in the community and with the Brunswick Community Band, who honored him as a recipient of their Frank Mahoney Scholarship. Matthew contributed to bands that earned 5 state superior ratings during his tenure and will be remembered for his personal practice ethic, an eagerness to help others, and for arranging music that was used for athletic bands at SBHS. He will be attending East Carolina University this fall to major in music.
Keith Boyd South Columbus High School, Tabor City, NC. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Richard Tyndall. Keith has been a very active student in the band program at South Columbus HS. He has served as section leader, participated in Celebrate the Arts, Solo & Ensemble, UNCP Honors Band as well as participated in the Columbus County Community Band during his time in high school.
Braydon Allen Barbre Neosho High School, Neosho, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Dan Duffield. Braydon is the 2024 first chair Missouri All-State Euphonium player. He has proven his accomplishment through the years by getting various awards, and placing first chair in multiple ensembles. After many months of rigorous practice and training Braydon has also successfully auditioned and made the 135th Army Band.

Kaitlyn Beede Waukesha South High School, Waukesha, WI. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute, Director: Michael DeBruin. Kaitlyn has grown so much in her musicianship this past year. She took on a solo, made it to State and performed your heart out. Her dedication to SWAP (Our Advanced Band) as a whole is greatly appreciated. Despite long summer days or marching band weekends, she’s maintained a positive work ethic and willingness to help others. She’s also attended every optional band performance we had these past 2 years, which I really appreciate. She seeks feedback or help when needed and applies it. My only wish for her is that she gains the same amount of confidence in herself as I have in her. I hope she keeps playing the Flute in College next year and beyond. Congratulations!

Lexi Belyaev Carmel Catholic High School, Mundelein, IL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute/Piccolo, Director: Tim Barclay. Lexi is a supremely talented musician who never accepts her current level of performance as good enough. She possesses poise, technical facility, and a natural sense of musicality, all while making it seem so incredibly easy. The combination of her talent, character, and work ethic is truly rare, and she is deserving of this award 100 times over.

He is a fantastic trumpet player, vocalist, pianist, and composer. John has earned honors at the All-State level for vocals and his compositions. He will be attending Belmont University in the fall to pursue his degree in Instrumental Music Education.
Kaeleb Berthiaume North Country Union High School, Newport, VT. Class of 2024. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Director: Bill Prue. This student is a strong positive force in the band who leads by example, sight-reading at a high level and always willing to play a brand new part that often thrown at them at the last second. This student is always willing to play a solo. He’s also always willing to be the loudest voice and the only one standing to lead during pep band.

Emily Black Rich Hill R-IV, Rich Hill, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Baritone Saxophone, Director: Allison Holsey. Emily is a senior at Rich Hill. Emily plans to go to college for vocal music education but continue to play in band. Our band lacks Tuba and very much low brass so Emily has been our bass line pretty much her entire career. Emily is a strong player and a leader in our band.
Hanna Blacker Beech High School, Hendersonville, TN. Class of 2024. Instrument: Oboe, Director: John Hylton and Jacob Alegria. Hanna is a phenomenal musician and has played oboe in concert band, saxophone in Jazz band and percussion in marching band during her four years in the program. She performed as the marching band's drum major during her senior year and has also served as a member of various college honor band events at Western Kentucky University, Tennessee Tech University and the University of Tennessee-Martin. Hanna embodies excellence and makes everything and everyone around her better than what it was before, a true leader inside and out of the classroom and has changed all our lives for the better.

Throughout his band career he has participated in numerous PMEA events including PMEA Regional band two years and PMEA All-State Wind Ensemble his senior year.
Adan Callejo Milan C-2, Milan, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Stephen Till. Adan has been a member of the Emerald Regiment of Milan C-2 for 6 years, performing at a high level since the 7th grade. He has performed at the Truman State University Honor Band for 2 years, GRC Honor Band for 2 years, NEMO All-District Band 2 years, and National FFA Band 1 year. Adan has received both outstanding and exemplary ratings for his Solos at the District level, and has helped the Emerald Regiment Concert Band to earn an exemplary rating 2 years in a row.

Luis has earned Gold Ratings for multiple solos, at both the State and District levels, selected for All-District Honor Bands, and performing a solo with the Ozark Festival Orchestra.

Avery Cannon, member and drum major of the Lenoir City High School band, is a constant role model for her peers. She has helped the band program greatly with her leadership. In addition to our regular concert schedule, she has participated in both pep band and solo & ensemble competition, as well as several honor bands.

Steven was a percussionist and won the outstanding band member award in his 9th grade year. For various reasons, beyond both of our controls, he could not do band his 10th or 11th grade years. He came to me during the spring of his 11th grade year and informed me he would be back for his senior year. I was excited to have a good percussionist back in band. To my surprise, he said he wanted to learn the alto saxophone. He started in June and by the time we went to ratings in April, he was our soloist and section leader of 6 good players. He is now going to college as a music major on alto saxophone. In 35 years, I have never seen someone so dedicated, and progress so far in such a short time.

Natalie has participated in concert band, pep band, marching band, and has also participated in a multitude of honor bands. These Honor bands include Ross County Honor Band, Ohio Northern Honor Band, and the Ohio State University Honor band. Natalie has received first chair at Wright State Honor Band, Kent State Honor Band, and District 16 Honor Band. For her senior year, Natalie took a Class A solo to solo and ensemble and received a superior rating for her performance. We have a very small program here at Westside and Traymon has worked hard to play what is needed in our ensembles.
