Clark Addison Shepherd High School, Shepherd, TX. Class of 2024. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Michelle Durden. Clark Addison has served as Percussion Captain for two years. He is one of the most dedicated and resilient students I have ever met. He has many music accomplishments under his belts including Area Band and being a three time State Solo and Ensemble Qualifier.

Ezra Marinell Agpaoa Mariner High School, Everett, WA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Christopher Angelos. Ezra is a senior clarinet player, section leader and band president. The past two years she has been accepted into the WA All-State ensembles and this year into WIBC. Ezra plans to attend the University of Washington next fall where she hopes to study clarinet performance and Music Education.

Seth Akridge Cherokee Bluff High School, Flowery Branch, GA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Horn, Director: Craig Cantrell. Seth Akridge is a remarkable student with superior musicianship, leadership, dependability, and loyalty. Serving as Band President during the 2023-24 school year, he demonstrated high standards for academic excellence, ranking in the Top 5 of his senior class. Seth embodies servant leadership and is a friend to all.

Sam Alaimo Dallas High School, Dallas, PA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Jeffrey Brown. Sam was a member of the 2023 PMEA All-State Concert Band and the 2024 PMEA All-State Wind Ensemble.

Elijah Aldrich Charleston High School, Charleston, AR. Class of 2024. Instrument: Horn, Director: Joshua Uhrich. Elijah is the quintessential music student. He devours music as if his life depends on it. He has played clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, and french horn in his time in the Charleston bands. 

Jackson Allen Thomas Jefferson High School, Denver, CO. Class of 2025. Instrument: trumpet, Director: Robin Morrissey. Jack was second chair in the trumpet section and leader for the section. He was selected for the Top of the Nation Honor Band and the district honor band. Jack was president of Tri-M Music Honor Society. He participated in marching band, concert band, jazz band and pit orchestra.

Shelby Badger DeKalb High School, Waterloo, IN. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Christopher Adamisin. Shelby Badger is an outstanding clarinet student and musician at DeKalb High School. She performs in multiple ensembles, playing a variety of instruments and genres, and was the head drum major for the Baron Brigade's 2023 show, Journey to the Light.

Margaret Baeta Norton High School, Norton, MA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Michael Konnerth. This student was a four year trombone player, active member of the school pep band and instrumental in the program as a leader. As a female trombone player she was honored as a member of the All New England Band at both the Plymouth State University and UMass-Amherst invitations. She is attendee UNH with a major is BSW and Minor or Major in Performance.

Christopher Baket South Pike High School, Magnolia, MS. Class of 2024. Instrument: Baritone, Director: Leonard McDonald. Christopher has been an over achiever since his first day of band. H has represented our school at the state level for three and has placed fist chair at state and the district levels. He is truly an outstanding musician.

Jackson Ballard Colquitt County High School, Moultrie, GA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Ryan Borger. Joined in sixth grade. Continues with marching band in eighth playing Tenors. Became section leader of drumline senior year.

John Matthew Ballard South Brunswick High School, Southport, North Carolina. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Michael J. Palmer. Matthew grew tremendously over his 4 years, from winning "Most Improved Musician" as a sophomore to serving the band as assistant drum major and brass captain his senior year. He was a 3 time all-county band selection, 2 time all-region jazz selection, and also participated at UNCP Honor Band, UNCP Honor Jazz, and ECU Summer Band Camp. He was also an active performer in the community and with the Brunswick Community Band, who honored him as a recipient of their Frank Mahoney Scholarship. Matthew contributed to bands that earned 5 state superior ratings during his tenure and will be remembered for his personal practice ethic, an eagerness to help others, and for arranging music that was used for athletic bands at SBHS. He will be attending East Carolina University this fall to major in music.

Keith Boyd South Columbus High School, Tabor City, NC. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Richard Tyndall. Keith has been a very active student in the band program at South Columbus HS. He has served as section leader, participated in Celebrate the Arts, Solo & Ensemble, UNCP Honors Band as well as participated in the Columbus County Community Band during his time in high school.

Braydon Allen Barbre Neosho High School, Neosho, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Dan Duffield. Braydon is the 2024 first chair Missouri All-State Euphonium player. He has proven his accomplishment through the years by getting various awards, and placing first chair in multiple ensembles. After many months of rigorous practice and training Braydon has also successfully auditioned and made the 135th Army Band.

Kaitlyn Beede Waukesha South High School, Waukesha, WI. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute, Director: Michael DeBruin. Kaitlyn has grown so much in her musicianship this past year. She took on a solo, made it to State and performed your heart out. Her dedication to SWAP (Our Advanced Band) as a whole is greatly appreciated. Despite long summer days or marching band weekends, she’s maintained a positive work ethic and willingness to help others. She’s also attended every optional band performance we had these past 2 years, which I really appreciate. She seeks feedback or help when needed and applies it. My only wish for her is that she gains the same amount of confidence in herself as I have in her. I hope she keeps playing the Flute in College next year and beyond. Congratulations!

Hannah Bell Hamilton High School, Hamilton, TX. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Tim Edins. Hannah Bell has been one of the hardest working students in our program. Serving as Drum Major for two years, she has helped guide our band to success!

Kodi Bell Park River Area School, Park River, ND. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute/Piccolo, Director: Zach Fischer. Kodi Bell has been a leader and role model for the band program both on and off the stage. She is always one of the first to volunteer to help others and puts others before herself.

Lexi Belyaev Carmel Catholic High School, Mundelein, IL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute/Piccolo, Director: Tim Barclay. Lexi is a supremely talented musician who never accepts her current level of performance as good enough. She possesses poise, technical facility, and a natural sense of musicality, all while making it seem so incredibly easy. The combination of her talent, character, and work ethic is truly rare, and she is deserving of this award 100 times over.

John Berns Pana High School, Pana, IL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Tony Hicks. John Berns is a very well-rounded musician. He is a fantastic trumpet player, vocalist, pianist, and composer. John has earned honors at the All-State level for vocals and his compositions. He will be attending Belmont University in the fall to pursue his degree in Instrumental Music Education.

Kaeleb Berthiaume North Country Union High School, Newport, VT. Class of 2024. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Director: Bill Prue. This student is a strong positive force in the band who leads by example, sight-reading at a high level and always willing to play a brand new part that often thrown at them at the last second. This student is always willing to play a solo. He’s also always willing to be the loudest voice and the only one standing to lead during pep band.

Lyssa Binz Vinton County High School, McArthur, OH. Class of 2024. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Sam Koogle. 

Emily Black Rich Hill R-IV, Rich Hill, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Baritone Saxophone, Director: Allison Holsey. Emily is a senior at Rich Hill. Emily plans to go to college for vocal music education but continue to play in band. Our band lacks Tuba and very much low brass so Emily has been our bass line pretty much her entire career. Emily is a strong player and a leader in our band.

Hanna Blacker Beech High School, Hendersonville, TN. Class of 2024. Instrument: Oboe, Director: John Hylton and Jacob Alegria. Hanna is a phenomenal musician and has played oboe in concert band, saxophone in Jazz band and percussion in marching band during her four years in the program. She performed as the marching band's drum major during her senior year and has also served as a member of various college honor band events at Western Kentucky University, Tennessee Tech University and the University of Tennessee-Martin. Hanna embodies excellence and makes everything and everyone around her better than what it was before, a true leader inside and out of the classroom and has changed all our lives for the better.

Gracelyn Bowman Pierre T.F. Riggs High School, Pierre, SD. Class of 2024. Instrument: Horn, Director: Gage Ruhlman. Gracie is one of the hardest working members of our band. She was our drum major and president of our Tri-M chapter. She was constantly helping others in the band and being a leader for all. On top of being one of our best musicians.

Clay Brandenburger Twin River Public School, Genoa, NE. Class of 2024. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Joshua Reiff. Clay Brandenburger is an outstanding musician at Twin River. Being involved in both Choir and Band, he also finds time to come to most pep band games, and perform solos at District Music Contest. He also is a dedicated leader in the Twin River Marching Band.

Abby Britt Spring Valley Hall High School, Spring Valley, IL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute/Bari Sax, Director: Brandon Lee Czubachowski. She began band with me as a flute player and added saxophone to her list in our beginning band class. She has become a leader of both helping students play better, and her own improvement as she contemplates a future in either Music Education or Music Therapy.

Aidan Brown Thales Academy High School Apex, Apex, NC. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Guitar, and Voice, Director: Richard Dryer. Aidan has been an integral part of the Thales Apex band program since he began trumpet in 6th grade. He is a phenomenal musical leader and the driving force behind the Thales Jazz/Rock band as its guitarist and vocalist.

Nathan Brown Hamburg High School, Hamburg, AR. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Ashlynn Kegley. Nathan has been a member of the Hamburg Band for 4 years and plays the trombone. He is the epitome of what a band student should be. His hard work and dedication will pay off as he continues his music education at ULM.

Jacey Brunson Sweet Home High School, Sweet Home, OR. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Director: Lori Tuter. Jacey has shown outstanding musicianship, dedication, and leadership and has set a high bar for excellence in our music program. They were band president, student conductor, All-State 1st chair, and participated in Music in May. Jacey will major in Music Education and Performance next year at Oregon State University.

Artur Budynkovych Parma Community High School, Parma, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Piano, Director: Paul March. Artur is a first-year band student from Ukraine. Artur takes great pride in his musicianship, leads by example and always goes above and beyond to support his peers and the overall success of the team. He is well deserving of this honor.

Ethan Bull Glenns Ferry High School, Glenns Ferry, ID. Class of 2024. Instrument: trumpet, Director: Shannon Wootan. Ethan has excelled at band over the last 8 years. He has taught himself to play the trumpet, piano, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, baritone, ukulele, and drums. Ethan is a member of the Pep Band, High School Modern Band, High School Concert Band as well as a band mentor for the elementary kids.

KACEE Bullock Green Acres Middle School, Birmingham, AL. Class of 2028. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: De’Ante J.V. Huffman. This student is of African American decent. She is of avenge high.

Anderson Bunch Paris High School, Paris, TX. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Charles Grissom. Anderson is a 3-time 5a TMEA All State Member and was 1st chair 2 times.

Elliot Buona Seneca High School, Erie, PA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Euphonium / Trombone, Director: William L Cosby. Elliot Buona is an outstanding musician and a dedicated band member. Throughout his band career he has participated in numerous PMEA events including PMEA Regional band two years and PMEA All-State Wind Ensemble his senior year.

Adan Callejo Milan C-2, Milan, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Stephen Till. Adan has been a member of the Emerald Regiment of Milan C-2 for 6 years, performing at a high level since the 7th grade. He has performed at the Truman State University Honor Band for 2 years, GRC Honor Band for 2 years, NEMO All-District Band 2 years, and National FFA Band 1 year. Adan has received both outstanding and exemplary ratings for his Solos at the District level, and has helped the Emerald Regiment Concert Band to earn an exemplary rating 2 years in a row.

Katherine Campman Milford High School, Milford, OH. Class of 2024. Instrument: Saxophone and Percussion, Director: Brandon Dittgen, Tim Dailey. Katy Campman is a saxophonist from Milford Ohio. She has been a member of the Ohio All State Band as well as various other ensembles. She is excited to pursue a future in music.

Luis Campos Monett High School, Monett, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute, Director: Jordan K. White. Luis Campos has been a shining member of the Cub Pride Band. Luis has earned Gold Ratings for multiple solos, at both the State and District levels, selected for All-District Honor Bands, and performing a solo with the Ozark Festival Orchestra.

Avery Cannon Lenoir City High School, Lenoir City, TN. Class of 2024. Instrument: Saxophone, Director: Zachary Slimp. Avery Cannon, member and drum major of the Lenoir City High School band, is a constant role model for her peers. Avery is the definition of excellence, playing in several community ensembles and motivating her peers to do the same. 

Daner Caraballo Somersets Academy Charter High (Silver Palms), Homestead, FL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Piano, Mallets, Director: Juan Turros. Daner is a gifted pianist and mallet instrumentalist. Since freshman year, Daner has exhibited supreme prowess in music. As a member of our top band, the Stallion Battalion, he switches effortlessly between the classical and jazz art forms. He is also a well-versed jazz improvisor.

Daniel Carrera Gentry High School, Gentry, AK. Class of 2024. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Ruby Contreras, Derek Wood. Daniel started as a clarinetist and slowly evolved to fit the needs of a changing program. Currently, he is a tuba player who has grown to become an All-State level musician.

Donovan Carrillo Keene High School, Keene, TX. Class of 2025. Instrument: Saxophone, Director: Carissa Cromer Emery. Donovan held the position of drum major in the Keene Charger Band for 3 years, and the title of saxophone section leader for 4. He is a powerful musician, an excellent leader, and a role model for his peers.

Emanuel Chambers Hector High School, Hector, AR. Class of 2024. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Melissa Bays. Emanuel has exceeded expectations when it comes to band. He has consistently earned a spot in All-Region and earned a spot in All-State this year.

Emma Christopher Gallatin High School, Gallatin, MO. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: John Salehi. Emma is an extremely talented student excelling in band, cheer, STUCO, FFA, and more.

Ellie Chungath Theodore Roosevelt High School, Des Moines, IA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Ellie Henson.

Izabella Cirone Skidmore-Tynan High School, Skidmore, TX. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Mr. Anthony Montez. Izabella was born in Beeville, Texas. She has attended Skidmore-Tynan ISD for all entire academic career. She has been a member of the band program from 6th grade through 12 grade.

KC Clair Madelia High School, Madelia, MN. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute, Director: Luke Olsby. KC is the quintessential music student, participating in both band and choir since 5th grade. She has helped the band program greatly with her leadership. In addition to our regular concert schedule, she has participated in both pep band and solo & ensemble competition, as well as several honor bands.

Emmeline Clougherty John Muir High School Early College Magnet, Pasadena, CA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute, Director: Karen Klages. Emmeline is an outstanding flutist and violist and has played in school ensembles as well as being a mentor for Harmony Project LA. Her leadership as Drum Major at her high school has been outstanding, along with her musicianship. Her classmates look to her for inspiration, she has a kind spirit about her, and she displays excellence in everything she does.

Johnny William Cohoon Ernest W. Seaholm High School, Birmingham, MI. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Tim Cibor. Johnny started playing piano at age 5 and clarinet at 10. He has participated in marching band, jazz band, and symphony band during high school. He plans to continue his musical education in college.

Amelia Butzer-Collins South Sumter High School, Bushnell, FL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Cory Lowery. Amelia Butzer- Collins has shown great musical ability and leadership in the South Sumter High School Band for 4 years. She has excelled at her chosen instrument and lead the low brass section to great acheivements. She will forever be remembered at SSHS as one if its best students.

Maria May Collins, a stalwart of Calhoun Middle High School's performing arts for 8 years, distinguished herself through her exemplary attitude and leadership. Her role as a section leader in the marching band exemplifies her unwavering commitment and passion for music, inspiring peers along the way.

Leo Curran St. Margaret's Episcopal School, San Juan Capistrano, CA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Chris Carbajal. As the first trumpet in the concert band and the recent recipient of the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award, this high school senior has not only hit high notes in music but also in athletics. His dedication to the basketball team for four years, his three-year sprint with the track and field team, and his two-year tackle on the football field demonstrate a versatility and commitment that are truly commendable. Starting his musical journey in the 4th grade, his passion for the trumpet has been a constant crescendo, culminating in his leadership role at SMES since the 8th grade—a move that marked a new beginning after his transition from England to California. This senior’s melody of achievements is harmonious with the spirit of excellence that the John Philip Sousa Award embodies, making his graduation not just a milestone, but a symphony of success.

Brylle Deseo Orange Vista High School, Perris, CA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Joshua Boyd. Brylle has stood out as a great player and a great leader since his freshman year in distance learning. He is willing and ready to tackle any job given to him or challenge that crosses his way. He does this with a great sense of humor, and a strong willingness to help others do the same. I am grateful to have been his director for 4 years, and am excited to see where music takes him in the future.

Jonathon Dooley is a part of our first senior class at Pieper, and is our two-year drum major in the program. Steven Driscoll Hannan Junior Senior High School, Ashton, WV. Class of 2024. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Dr. John R. Carlisle. Steven was a percussionist and won the outstanding band member award in his 9th grade year. For various reasons, beyond both of our controls, he could not do band his 10th or 11th grade years. He came to me during the spring of his 11th grade year and informed me he would be back for his senior year. I was excited to have a good percussionist back in band. To my surprise, he said he wanted to learn the alto saxophone. He started in June and by the time we went to ratings in April, he was our soloist and section leader of 6 good players. He is now going to college as a music major on alto saxophone. In 35 years, I have never seen someone so dedicated, and progress so far in such a short time.

Kawan Freeman has shown musical aptitude and dedication to the music program at Palmer High School that is seen only a handful of times during a director’s career. Kawan has shown the epitome of commitment through his role as drum major, mentor for the colorguard, and leader of the ensemble.

Nicholas Frtisch St. Mary's Preparatory High School, Orchard Lake, MI. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Ms. Gina Dlugosielski. It would be easy to dedicate this to his well-deserved musicianship and dedication to the band, but his actions dictate more than just that. Nick represents determination, grit, leadership, and hard work to move our music program forward than what it once was. He embodies a “Sousa Award” recipient and represents the example that every St. Mary’s student should strive for. Respect, leadership, fellowship, and for this honor, a dedication and drive to be the best musician he can be. Natalie Hall Huntington Local Schools, Chillicothe, OH. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Kristin Coen-Mishlan. Natalie has participated in concert band, pep band, marching band, and has also participated in a multitude of honor bands. These Honor bands include Ross County Honor Band, Ohio Northern Honor Band, and the Ohio State University Honor band. Natalie has received first chair at Wright State Honor Band, Kent State Honor Band, and District 16 Honor Band. For her senior year, Natalie took a Class A solo to solo and ensemble and received a superior rating for her performance. Natalie will be attending The Ohio State University and major in Music Education.

Amanda Hammond Martinsville Jr./Sr. High, Martinsville, IL. Class of 2025. Instrument: Flute, Director: Presley Hillyard. Amanda has shown leadership and outstanding musicianship by working hard to learn her music, memorizing music without being asked, and working with younger students to help them improve their playing skills. Megan has been an integral part of our band program for the past 6 years. Her talents are numerous, playing proficiently on flute, trombone, piano, and mallet percussion in the bands as needed. In her senior year, she served as the band Teacher's Assistant, helping tutor young 5th and 6th grade players with patience and skill. Her contributions to the program had a significant impact and will be missed.

Joseph Lee Kistler Pinnacle Classical Academy, Shelby, NC. Class of 2025. Instrument: Bassoon and Flute, Director: Tara Owens. Joseph Kistler is a leader in the band program and strives for personal excellence. He performs with Pinnacle Classical Academy's Symphonic Band and assists with Pinnacle Classical Academy's Concert Band. He is patient with struggling students and assists in their instruction. In addition to these after-school commitments, he participates in band classes. Joseph also seeks out opportunities to perform. He participates in Gardner Webb University's orchestra. He attended the Charlotte Metro Area Charter Honor Band in 2024. He also participated in North Carolina's South Central District's SEMPA Festival 2024, receiving a superior rating for his performance. In addition to attendance at Pinnacle Classical Academy's Summer Band Camp, he plans to attend the summer band camp at UNC Greensboro in 2024.

Madison is an exemplary student that has been a member of Stage Band as a vocalist for four years. She has received numerous awards throughout her high school career including winning Musician of the Year, a competition held at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg allowing students from the surrounding county schools to compete, both vocally and instrumentally. Madison has performed at several venues and performs the National Anthem at ballgames, school events, and other performance shows.

Tavin served as the leader for our 1st chair in the trumpet section, leader for the brass, a student conductor & an officer in the Tri-M Music Honor Society. He was chosen as the 1st chair trumpet player in the Top of the Nation Honor Band's auditioned band and was selected for the district honor band. Tavin was a member of our marching band, concert band and jazz band.

Sean has been playing Trombone from the age of 10. He has given 8 years of dedicated service to our District. Sam is pursuing a career in Jazz Performance and will be attending Michigan State University.

Katy Jo Newman Ethel High School, Ethel, MS. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Shane Sprayberry. Katy Jo Newman has been first chair trumpet in the Ethel Tiger Band for the last 4 years. She is a 2023 member of the Mississippi Lion's All-State Band, has participated in numerous band clinics, served as Drum Major of the Tiger Band, and is an accomplished pianist. She has earned numerous awards and honors throughout high school, most notably the TIGERS award, Beta Club President, Star Student, and Valedictorian of the Class of 2024. Katy Jo will continue her education as an elementary education major at Mississippi State University this fall, where she has received a scholarship to participate in the Famous Maroon Band. Daun has performed on flute for SPS for the past 6 years while also acting as flute section leader 2022-24, student director 2023-2024, and master librarian. I have chosen Leonardo Paz for this award because he is an amazing performer as well as section leader for the BOYCP Band/ Drumline. He is a very hard working, responsible individual who was also involved in the school musical as a guitarist and never once did he let anyone down. Leo plans to continue music after high school. This is a rarity amongst many his age and there is no doubt that he will go on to be an outstanding citizen far beyond our classroom. 

Tiffany Ramirez Venus High School, Venus, TX. Class of 2024. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Ross Langdon. Tiffany is amazing band student! Tiffany has been the drum major for the Venus Bulldog Band for the past two years (helping the marching band receive straight 1's), she is first chair trombone player in the concert band and Jazz Band and made the All-Region band. Tiffany is also in the top ten in her graduating class! Therefore, as you can see, she is truly an amazing leader for the Band program, great musician and super smart! She plans on going to the University of Texas to pursue a degree in music education.

Britney Ramos Paw Paw High School, Paw Paw, WV. Class of 2024. Instrument: Flute, Director: Robert G. Wallace. Britney has shown great leadership as Drum Majorette for two years and has set an outstanding example for the students of the Jr. / Sr. Paw Paw Pirates Marching Band. She is a true treasure of the Paw Paw Pirates!

Traymon Reddick Westside High School, Augusta, GA. Class of 2024. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Brandi Colon. While Traymon has been a student at Westside High School, he has been an active and crucial member of the Band program. We have a very small program here at Westside and Traymon has worked hard to play what is needed in our ensembles. He has worked hard to learn not just one instrument, but any instrument that is needed. Traymon is a team player and a huge asset to my band program. He helps students who are struggling and works as mentor to some of the younger students. He is always working to build the morale of the band and encourage a positive atmosphere. He has performed admirably in the Powerhouse Marching Band, Concert Band and Dream Team Drumline for the past four years.

Giovannie Resendiz St. Cloud High School, St. Cloud, FL. Class of 2024. Instrument: Clarinet, Saxophone, Director: Mindy Crawford Curtis, Cameron Ivie. Gio was the principal clarinetist in the Symphonic Band, lead alto sax player in Jazz Band, & principal violinist in the orchestra. He attended the FSU Tri-State Band Festival, the UCF Knights Rising Honor Band, & was a member of multiple All-County ensembles. He also had several Solo/Ensemble events receive Superior ratings at the state level. Gio, a true woodwind doubler, is also a member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society.

Ms. Alexandria Rish is the head drum major for the Uvalde Coyote Band and holds the rank of Colonel with pride! In her time at Uvalde High School Col. Rish has displayed impeccable leadership skills, as well as tremendous talent as a performer of the Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone and Clarinet in various ensembles at Uvalde HS. In her capacity as drum major she conducted the Uvalde Coyote Band at all official functions. She was active in our Jazz Program under the tutelage of Jazz Director Darren McCarty.

Probably the most brilliant clarinet player I've had in my teaching career thus far. Mitchell has been to All State every year since Middle School, Tri-State, All District Band, and he has performed in Vienna and Sydney, across the globe as part of the Worldstrides Honor Band. Mitchell has numerous superior solos and ensembles at the district and state level. His senior year, he served as Drum Major and soloed with the band at the Spring Concert.

Katt Terry served as Woodwind Captain and Clarinet Section Leader for the Patriot Band during her senior year. She earned the Principal (1st Chair) position in the highest Alabama All-State Band, the Red Band, her senior year. She was a 4-year member of the High School All-State Bands. Katt is a member of the Tri-M National Honor Society and served as President for the 2023-2024 year. She also was a member of the Patriot Choir & Show Choir. Katt will be attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham pursuing a degree in Engineering and Music.

Glendon has been approached by Monroe College of New York, and Southern University A&M College, he hasn't made his choice yet, but plans to major in Architecture and Design.

His primary instrument is flute, but he is constantly seeking opportunities to continue learning new instruments. He has a heart for music and is a silent leader. He does not seek attention, but his peers frequently look to him for direction.

Luke Towers is a dedicated musician who always strives to do his best no matter what, and accepts nothing less than the very best. Kompton has grown so much as a musician and a person throughout my time with him in band. He participated in marching band as snare drummer and as a drum major his senior year.
