He Marched DCI for two years, Competed in over 20 clinics over 5 years, and placed first in the state clinic auditions. Chandler is a model student for our band program.

Gracelyn is outstanding band student with the uninterrupted band participation through all school years. She is hardworking, beautiful, and smart young lady who is planning to play for the college band as well.

Kayla Bae Denmark High School, Alpharetta, GA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Kayla Poor. Kayla Bae has been an instrumental musician for our program over the past four years. She has been involved with the program at every possible level (Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Indoor Drumline, Tri-M and more). She is planning to pursue music after high school.

Mackenzie Baltierrez Zimmerman Middle High School, Zimmerman, MN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bass Clarinet, Director: David Kaiser. Mackenzie is a 7-year band student that also plays in jazz band, marching band, and pit orchestra. They plan to attend college and pursue a degree in social work.

Allie Bartolome, Brookwood High School, Brookwood, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Rebecca Curtin. Allie served as Band Captain her senior year and maintained first chair in the concert band for the entirety of her junior and senior year. During this time she was featured as a soloist during several concert cycles including the piccolo solo in Stars and Stripes Forever. During her Senior year she attended honor bands across the Southeast, earned her spot into the Alabama Orchestra Association South Regional Orchestra and the Alabama All State Red Band. Allie is planning to pursue music professionally and will be an assist to the music community for years to come.

Nathaniel Bearden Sugar Hill Christian Academy, Sugar Hill, GA. Class of 2027. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Sherry Wiltshire. Nathan is an integral part of the SHCA band, not only as a strong section leader, but also as an example to others with his dependability, leadership skills and of course excellent musicianship. He is a versatile player as well, moving from bass clarinet to clarinet as needed and even trombone in jazz band. Nathan exemplifies the spirit of a true bandsman!

Nina Bei Farragut High School, Knoxville, Tennessee. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Andrew Smith . Nina has been a tremendous leader and player throughout her high school career. Nina earned All-State honors all four years in high school as well as in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Additionally, Nina has held leadership positions in the band for the past three years.

Zachary Bell is an accomplished drum major, proficient student conductor, and talented arranger whose musical leadership has strengthened our program. An academically strong student and skilled tenor saxophone player, he represents our school with professionalism, dedication, and excellence both on and off the field.

A selfless and versatile musician, they stepped up wherever needed, mastering contra-alto clarinet, flute, and tuba to support the band and further their musical understanding. Their adaptability, work ethic, and team-first mindset have made a lasting impact on the band’s success.

Ryan Brewer Woodmont High School - Band, Piedmont, SC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Brent Schooley. Ryan Brewer represents the best of our school and band program. He is incredibly humble and eager to help all around him. Ryan is a talented young composer with a bright future ahead.

Tavis Brown Overhills High School, Spring Lake, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Malachi J. Cobb. Tavis is a tremendous musician and an aspiring future music educator. He has served as our first chair flutist throughout this school year, consistently demonstrating strong leadership and musicianship. Tavis has a genuine heart to serve, which is an invaluable asset for anyone entering the field of music education. In addition to his performance skills, he has a growing interest in composing and arranging music, further showcasing his passion and versatility within the art form.

Danica Browning South Haven USD 509, South Haven, KS. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Keeley Coon. Danica has made tremendous contributions to the South Haven Band. She has devoted many years to her craft and it has been a privilege to be her director.

Ashley Bucher Olympia High School, Orlando, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute/Oboe, Director: Jacob Pickett. Ashley has played flute for many different ensembles inside and outside the school, while playing different woodwinds and playing oboe in the Wind Ensemble. We were given the opportunity to perform in the famous Carnegie hall performing difficult musical literatures making a highlight throughout my high school experience. I plan to continue with music in college and be in music performance on flute!

Taylor Burns Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville, IL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: David Justice. Taylor has been through multiple different formats and band directors in her time at her school. No matter what the music department throws in her way she practices when needed, asks for help, and overall a student who more than deserves this award. She helped set the precedent of what a band student should be and should strive for. The ACHS Music Department looks forward to seeing her future accomplishments. 

Kaylee Butler Ozark High School, Ozark, AR. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Director: James Maestri. Kaylee successfully made the all-region band and was selected to audition for the all-state band in Arkansas her senior year. Kaylee is going to pursue a career in the Air Force after graduation.

Myles Byrd Woodmore High School, Elmore, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Kenneth Emerine. Myles was first chair and percussion section leader for marching band and concert band his junior and senior years. An outstanding player and leader, he also earned first chair in the OMEA D2 Honors Band, Superior ratings in Solo Ensemble in class B and A, and served as Band Vice President.

Amber Calder Hardin-Jefferson High School, Sour Lake, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Martin Trammel. Amber is a wonderful leader, inclusive of ALL band students, a fantastic champion and encourager, and plays beautifully. She has made a lasting impact on our program and as her director I am grateful that music as the avenue that allowed our paths to cross.

Emma Collins Rocky Mountain High School, Cowley, WY. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Gerry Burton. Emma is a strong leader in our percussion section. She is competent on all percussion instruments and excelles on the mallets.

Jerry Peña-Compean Station Camp High School, Gallatin, TN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: R. Adam Clark . Jerry was a four-time all county member as well as a four-time MTSBOA All Middle Tennessee Band Honor band. He was also a member of the Tennessee Bandmaster’s Association All State Honor Band twice. He also was a member of the Nashville Youth Jazz Ensemble, and served as the band’s president. 

Joshua Cordero Heritage Academy Maricopa, Maricopa, AZ. Class of 2026. Instrument: Horn, Director: Taylor Hughes. Joshua has been consistently selfless and relentless in his pursuit of musical capability. His legacy will live on through the students and teachers he has influenced. His musical journey will continue as he hones his skill and knowledge after high school. 

Delayna Curtis St. Cloud High School, St. Cloud, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Oboe, Director: Mindy Crawford Curtis, Cameron Ivie. In addition to her many outstanding accomplishments with Oboe and English Horn, Delayna has also served as the percussion section leader. Delayna is a multiple-time FMEA All-State participant in band and choir. Delayna, principal Oboe with the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, will attend FSU on a full music scholarship for Oboe Performance.

Brody Davis New Brockton High School, New Brockton, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Ryan Gresko. Brody is an exemplary student, currently ranked 3rd in his class of 123 with a 4.58 GPA. He approaches his academics with diligence, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity, and he consistently strives for excellence. His recognition as a Coffee County Youth Leadership Program Representative, McLin Scholarship recipient, and officer in the National Beta Club are just a few indicators of his ability to lead and inspire among his peers. Brody’s achievements in music and the arts further illustrate his discipline and determination. From earning multiple Best in Class Percussionist awards to serving as Drumline Captain and representing his school in honor bands across the state, he has proven himself capable of excelling in demanding environments. As a Black Belt in Taekwondo, a Boys State delegate, and a Troy Trojan Patriot Academy participant, Brody has consistently sought out opportunities to challenge himself and to lead.

Noah Dietrich Pearland High School, Pearland, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Director: Ryan Demkovich. Noah was the head drum major of the marching band and has played the alto, soprano, and tenor saxophones in the top band over the last few years. Noah is a tremendous leader and even better young man.

Makenzie Dingus Honaker High School, Honaker, VA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Shawn Matney. Dedicated to excellence, Makenzie has been the Woodwinds Captain for the last three years and her leadership has been a critical component to the rebuilding of the band program at Honaker High School. Being selected four times to perform with VBODA's District VII All-District Band, her superior musicianship is consistently demonstrated. Makenzie is most deserving of this prestigious award.

Cash Dobson Steubenville Catholic Central High School, Steubenville, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Zeke Paulowski Sam Johnston. Cash Dobson is an extremely talented, humble, character-driven individual. He is kind and compassionate to subordinates; respectful and considerate of superiors. A quiet man, Cash is driven and focused.

Caitlin Dolan Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, Overland Park, KS. Class of 2026. Instrument: clarinet, Director: John Burgess. Caitlin Dolan played clarinet in the bands at Holy Cross Catholic School (5th through 8th grades) and at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School (9th through 12th grades). 

Bhrett Driver Whiteface High School, Whiteface, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet , Director: Kayla Driver. Outstanding Drum major, marched in the Macy's Day thanksgiving parade, All Region and Honor Band, 8 time qualifier for State Ensemble and Solo in Texas. Outstanding trumpet player winning the Quincy Jones award his junior year. Multiple state finalist performer at the Texas State UIL marching competition.

Carly Durr Westonka High School, Minnestrista, MN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Christopher Moore. Carly Durr is an exceptional musician! Carly has an attention to detail and thoughtfulness about her playing that is rare to find in a High School player. Ms. Durr is a leader within the group, respectfully pushing students to be their very best. Carly has been a catalyst for positive and exciting change in the Band program at Westonka High School. I have no doubt that Carly will excel in all of her future pursuits.

Eva Fajardo Tohopekaliga High School, Kissimmee, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Scott B. Abbott. Eva was instrumental in the progress of the Tohopekaliga Band Program. She participated in solo ensemble, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and Marching Band. She was drum major for 2 years and consistently lead the group with a positive attitude with much respect of her peers. 

Kathryn Fear Sierra Vista High School, Las Vegas, NV. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Dr. Scott McGlasson. Kathryn Fear played clarinet in the Sierra Vista High School Band for all four years of high school and was a member of Clark County Honor Band for three years. She plans to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas and perform in the marching band.

Elizabeth Fennell Piggott High School, Piggott, AR. Class of 2026. Instrument: Saxophone, Director: Kyle Allman. Elizabeth is a fantastic leader and works very hard to earn what she has achieved over the last 4 years. Despite any obstacles in her way, she made relentless progress and used that knowledge to then help those around her. She is a shining example of the best of Piggott's band program.

Codie Flaherty Medford Public School, Medford, OK. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Kathy Flaherty. Codie has been an asset to this band. She encourages others and help whenever asked. Her leadership qualities make her a valuable member of the band.

Wyatt Franks Buckeye High School, Medina, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Andrea Thacker. Wyatt is a very skilled percussionist who has shown true dedication to our program. He has composed and compiled a book of resources for future percussionists at our school to use for years to come, and has invested significant time into mentoring underclassmen, which has elevated the musicianship and attitude of our entire ensemble.

Her commitment to excellence continues as she transitions into a distinguished career of service within the United States Navy.

Lillie Hamelinck White Knoll High School, Lexington, SC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Baritone Saxophone, Director: Otto Hage and Brandon Armstrong. Lillie is a wonderful human being who is a selfless leader. She has done so much for the betterment of the program not only as a tremendous musician but also through her service.

Morgan Henkes Hamilton High School, Hamilton, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Tim Edins. Morgan is an incredible musician on Alto Saxophone. Morgan achieved honors in Region Band many times, and is a State Solo Qualifier. Morgan also plays piano very well, and is an aspiring composer. 

Benjamin Hernandez Gal AA Stagg High School, Stockton, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Jerren Robinson. A leader and an inspiration, Benjamin has paved the way for our music program to flourish. Between playing tuba, helping out the entire brass section, and arranging music for the band to play, the sky’s the limit for this young man.

Anthony Lopez Garcia Palmetto Scholars Academy, North Charleston, SC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Raymond McKinley. Anthony is a very talented musician and engineer at PSA. He has been an outstanding role model for all of our freshman trumpet players. This year he went above and beyond to help students that were struggling. His positive attitude and work ethic will be missed. 

Benjamin Garcia Agua Fria High School, Avondale, AZ. Class of 2026. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Donald Heaton. Benjamin was an outstanding member of the Band of Owls for all 4 years of high school. His dedication culminated his senior year when he took the mantle of drum major. I am proud to have worked with him.

Jaime Garcia Northview High School, Covina, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Robin Gin. Jaime has been a deeply devoted member to Northview's music program. He served as principal percussionist with Northview's Wind Symphony, and drum captain in Northview's marching band and indoor percussion. His commitment to the growth and success to our percussion program is highly commendable.

Leonardo Garcia South Gate High School, South Gate, CA. Class of 2028. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Ruben A. Gonzalez Jr. . Leonardo Garcia is a dedicated sophomore in high school known for his commitment, discipline, and passion for music. As a trumpet player in the school’s marching band, Leonardo has quickly earned the respect of his instructors through his strong work ethic and consistent improvement. From his first days in band, he showed determination to master his instrument, spending countless hours practicing and refining his technique.

Ethan Haas is a dedicated young musician who truly enjoys performing. Colin has been in the marching band, jazz band, and indoor drumline for four years and the concert band for two years. While a student at Commerce High School John has always challenged himself academically, as well as personally. He is an active participant in our band program serving as brass captain and band captain for the past two years. He has superb organization and leadership skills. John leads by example helping others to achieve their goals. He is always willing to do any task that is asked of him. John has participated in Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band during all four years of high school. He is a UGA Merit Scholar, Beta Club Member, Scholar Athlete for Golf, has been nominated for Governor’s Honors for Music and is a John Phillips Souza Award Winner, 3 time District Honor Band Award Winner. He was also selected to represent our program at UGA MidFest in 2021 and JanFest in 2023-2025.

Ri ‘Chard Rose Evans High School, Orlando, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Dr. Mario Ford. Ri’Chard Rose is a talented clarinet player from Orlando who has made a lasting impact through his leadership, musicianship, and dedication to excellence. Throughout his high school career, he earned recognition through several prestigious honor bands, including the 2024 FSU Tri-State Festival where he earned 1st Chair, the 2025 USF Festival of Winds Honor Band, the 2025 and 2026 OCPS All-County Bands where he earned both 2nd Chair and 1st Chair honors, and the 2026 Jackson State University Honor Band where he was awarded 1st Chair. He proudly served as President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, where he led and taught his peers through his own ensemble, inspiring those around him with passion and commitment to music. With 12 MPA Solo Ensemble Superior ratings along with Outstanding Musicianship and Outstanding Leadership honors, he has consistently demonstrated excellence both on and off the field. He has officially committed to Jackson State University to continue his musical journey.

He is a fantastic trumpet player and was selected to the Florida High School Honor Band this school year. Even though he was only at our school for 2 years, he truly made an impact on the program.

Isaac will attend Clark University on a baseball scholarship and hopes to continue his tuba playing.

He was in band, and played trumpet, for 5 years when he was presented with the John Philip Sousa award. Michael has found a deep passion for the musical arts through band, and he is proud to be a recipient of the John Philip Sousa award.

As a future music educator, Emma Grace has proven to be the prime example through dedication and wonderful musicianship. Emma Grace plans to pursue music education at Auburn University and plans to be a band director one day!

Evan has embodied the qualities of the Sousa Award throughout his high school band career at SVHS. He is a dedicated band student, excellent musician, and will major in music education in college. Joseph Stehlik Vernon Verona Sherrill High School, Verona, NY. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Linda Carter. Joseph has been in our band program since fourth grade. He always strives for musical excellence, even choosing this year to go to our NYSSMA solo festival on a challenging level six solo for fun! In addisiton to being in every possible ensemble from concert band, to marching band, jazz band and pit for our musical he is also in a local honors wind ensemble and has particpated in many all county bands. He is an outstnding leader having served as section leader and band officer for the last two years.

When an ensemble needed someone to play an instrument that wasn’t represented in our group, he stepped up and learned that instrument so that we could sound our best. He has developed strong skills both in musical phrasing and in technique, becoming a truly versatile and superior musician.

Emmanuelle played flute all 4-years and was an award-winning Drum Major for the marching band her senior year. Juggling various activities she still excelled in her musical skill and knowledge being one of my top musicians and still to wants to continue performing in ensembles outside post-secondary.

Micheal Wood Jr. Central Catholic High School, Toledo, Ohio. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Danielle Consolo. Michael has been a tremendous leader in our band since I began working at Central Catholic. He consistently overcomes any obstacle with a positive attitude, setting a strong example for those around him. In our smaller ensemble, Michael has shown incredible flexibility, confidently switching between instruments in the percussion section and demonstrating mastery of each part. He has been a true role model for our students and is one of the most spirited individuals in our school community. Michael’s hard work and determination set him apart, and it has truly been a pleasure to be his teacher over the past two years.
