Andres Alvarez Murga Norwood Junior High School, Sacramento, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Charity Tanaleon. Beginning band student who excelled at playing flute and taught himself how to play oboe while transitioning back from COVID. A humble and supportive young man who is a young scholar.

Jacob Arbuckle Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School, Elkhart Lake, WI. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Jodi Voss.

Allie Bartolome, Brookwood High School, Brookwood, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Rebecca Curtin. Low brass section leader who performed with every instrumental ensemble at Brookwood High School and composed original small ensemble works for his section, featured in the spring concert. Allie served as Band Captain her senior year and maintained first chair in the concert band for the entirety of her junior and senior year. During this time she was featured as a soloist during several concert cycles including the piccolo solo in Stars and Stripes Forever. During her Senior year she attended honor bands across the Southeast, earned her spot into the Alabama Orchestra Association South Regional Orchestra and the Alabama All State Red Band. Allie is planning to pursue music professionally and will be an assist to the music community for years to come.

Tavis Brown Overhills High School, Spring Lake, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Malachi J. Cobb. Tavis is a tremendous musician and an aspiring future music educator. He has served as our first chair flutist throughout this school year, consistently demonstrating strong leadership and musicianship. Tavis has a genuine heart to serve, which is an invaluable asset for anyone entering the field of music education. In addition to his performance skills, he has a growing interest in composing and arranging music, further showcasing his passion and versatility within the art form.

Ashley Bucher Olympia High School, Orlando, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute/Oboe, Director: Jacob Pickett. Ashley has played flute for many different ensembles inside and outside the school, while playing different woodwinds and playing oboe in the Wind Ensemble. We were given the opportunity to perform in the famous Carnegie hall performing difficult musical literatures making a highlight throughout my high school experience. I plan to continue with music in college and be in music performance on flute!

Taylor Burns Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville, IL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: David Justice. Taylor has been through multiple different formats and band directors in her time at her school. No matter what the music department throws in her way she practices when needed, asks for help, and overall a student who more than deserves this award. She helped set the precedent of what a band student should be and should strive for. The ACHS Music Department looks forward to seeing her future accomplishments. 

Amber Calder Hardin-Jefferson High School, Sour Lake, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Martin Trammel. Amber is a wonderful leader, inclusive of ALL band students, a fantastic champion and encourager, and plays beautifully. She has made a lasting impact on our program and as her director I am grateful that music as the avenue that allowed our paths to cross.

Lila Callister Mountain View High School, Mountain View, WY. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Caleb Larsen. Lila is one of the hardest working, selfless leaders I've seen in my time as a teacher.

Emma Collins Rocky Mountain High School, Cowley, WY. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Gerry Burton. Emma is a strong leader in our percussion section. She is competent on all percussion instruments and excelles on the mallets.

Brody Davis New Brockton High School, New Brockton, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Ryan Gresko. Brody is an exemplary student, currently ranked 3rd in his class of 123 with a 4.58 GPA. He approaches his academics with diligence, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity, and he consistently strives for excellence. His recognition as a Coffee County Youth Leadership Program Representative, McLin Scholarship recipient, and officer in the National Beta Club are just a few indicators of his ability to lead and inspire among his peers. Brody’s achievements in music and the arts further illustrate his discipline and determination. From earning multiple Best in Class Percussionist awards to serving as Drumline Captain and representing his school in honor bands across the state, he has proven himself capable of excelling in demanding environments. As a Black Belt in Taekwondo, a Boys State delegate, and a Troy Trojan Patriot Academy participant, Brody has consistently sought out opportunities to challenge himself and to lead.

Makenzie Dingus Honaker High School, Honaker, VA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Shawn Matney. Dedicated to excellence, Makenzie has been the Woodwinds Captain for the last three years and her leadership has been a critical component to the rebuilding of the band program at Honaker High School. Being selected four times to perform with VBODA's District VII All-District Band, her superior musicianship is consistently demonstrated. Makenzie is most deserving of this prestigious award.

Cash Dobson Steubenville Catholic Central High School, Steubenville, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Zeke Paulowski & Sam Johnston. Cash Dobson is an extremely talented, humble, character-driven individual. He is kind and compassionate to subordinates; respectful and considerate of superiors. A quiet man, Cash is driven and focused.

Bhrett Driver Whiteface High School, Whiteface, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet , Director: Kayla Driver. Outstanding Drum major, marched in the Macy's Day thanksgiving parade, All Region and Honor Band, 8 time qualifier for State Ensemble and Solo in Texas. Outstanding trumpet player winning the Quincy Jones award his junior year. Multiple state finalist performer at the Texas State UIL marching competition.

Carly Durr Westonka High School, Minnestrista, MN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Christopher Moore. Carly Durr is an exceptional musician! Carly has an attention to detail and thoughtfulness about her playing that is rare to find in a High School player. Ms. Durr is a leader within the group, respectfully pushing students to be their very best. Carly has been a catalyst for positive and exciting change in the Band program at Westonka High School. I have no doubt that Carly will excel in all of her future pursuits.

Elena Evans Northridge Local School District, Johnstown, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Alexander Healey. 

Kathryn Fear Sierra Vista High School, Las Vegas, NV. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Dr. Scott McGlasson. Kathryn Fear played clarinet in the Sierra Vista High School Band for all four years of high school and was a member of Clark County Honor Band for three years. She plans to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas and perform in the marching band.

Elizabeth Fennell Piggott High School, Piggott, AR. Class of 2026. Instrument: Saxophone, Director: Kyle Allman. Elizabeth is a fantastic leader and works very hard to earn what she has achieved over the last 4 years. Despite any obstacles in her way, she made relentless progress and used that knowledge to then help those around her. She is a shining example of the best of Piggott's band program.

Benjamin Hernandez Gal AA Stagg High School, Stockton, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Jerren Robinson. A leader and an inspiration, Benjamin has paved the way for our music program to flourish. Between playing tuba, helping out the entire brass section, and arranging music for the band to play, the sky’s the limit for this young man.

Benjamin Garcia Agua Fria High School, Avondale, AZ. Class of 2026. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Donald Heaton. Benjamin was an outstanding member of the Band of Owls for all 4 years of high school. His dedication culminated his senior year when he took the mantle of drum major. I am proud to have worked with him.

Leonardo Garcia South Gate High School, South Gate, CA. Class of 2028. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Ruben A. Gonzalez Jr. . Leonardo Garcia is a dedicated sophomore in high school known for his commitment, discipline, and passion for music. As a trumpet player in the school’s marching band, Leonardo has quickly earned the respect of his instructors through his strong work ethic and consistent improvement. From his first days in band, he showed determination to master his instrument, spending countless hours practicing and refining his technique.

Josiah Hall Milton High School, Milton, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Michael Schultz. Josiah has constantly made the Florida All-State Band seven years straight. He is a multi-talented student, giving performances on Bb Clarinet, Eb Clarient in the wind ensemble as well as Alto saxophone and Tenor Saxophone in the jazz band. He is also a member of our high school chorus program.

Eli Harrison The First Academy, Orlando, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Baritone, Director: Erin Fernandes. Eli Harrison is a strong leader within his section and within the band. He is a phenomenal musician, who is creative and intelligent and uses his gifts to better everyone around him.

Ethan Head Pearl River Central High School, Carriere, MS. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Chase Romans. Ethan Head is a prime example leader, student, and musician in the PRC Bands Program. He participates in multiple ensembles on campus, where he holds leadership positions, in the community, and is a member of the All-State Band.

Brylee Heimgartner Flinthills USD 492, Rosalia, KS. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet/Baritone, Director: Emily O'Banion. Brylee is an exceptionally hard worker. She has spent her time in band being a leader to her younger peers as well as thriving on her two instruments. Brylee has also striven to learn other instruments when needed. It has been a privilege having her in band.

Skylar Jackson Glen Lake High School, Maple City, Michigan. Class of 2027. Instrument: Baritone, Director: Elaina E. Abarrak. Skylar is a spectacular student no matter the setting, marching, concert, solo and ensemble. He always sets a great example and helps out when he can.

Melody Jarrell Braxton County High School, Sutton, WV. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Taylor High. Melody serves as our Trumpet Section Leader and Band Council President, roles she has handled with remarkable responsibility, maturity, and consistency. She leads by example; arriving early, staying late, and ensuring that her section is prepared both musically and personally. She not only meets expectations; she sets the standard for others to follow. In addition to her work in the band, Melody accompanies our choir when needed, demonstrating both her musical versatility and her willingness to step up wherever she is needed.

Phoenix King Harlowton High School, Harlowton, MT. Class of 2026. Instrument: Baritone Saxophone, Director: Karena Dale. Phoenix King is a dedicated baritone saxophone player active in concert band and pep band. He has performed in District Honor Band as well as both district and state music festivals. Phoenix brings strong musicianship, reliability, and leadership to every ensemble he joins.

Kaylee Klatt Plano High School, Plano, IL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bb Clarinet, Director: Susan Webb. Kaylee has been a drum major and a clarinet section leader for two years. She has auditioned for and been selected to participate in the 2025 ILMEA District IX Senior Band. 

Colby Kriss Oakley High School, Oakley, KS. Class of 2026. Instrument: Piano/Percussionist, Director: Mikayla Bauer. Colby has been an influential leader in the OHS Music program. Competing in Multiple musical contest (Piano, Solo & Ensemble, State Band) He has placed with the utmost highest scores possible. He will continue to study music after high school sharing his joy and passion of Music with future generations.

Myzin Kroneman Notre Dame High School, San Jose, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, Director: Tina Paulson. Myzin is a multi-instrumentalist and composer/arranger who has dedicated their time, effort and leadership to the music program at ND. They played in band all four years of high school, played in jazz combos, the Pit Orchestra for the musical, and sang in after-school choir as well. Their Senior capstone was to teach, rehearse and conduct a band piece for the Spring Concert.

Codie started playing flute in 5th grade and has continued to grow in her music education. She encourages others to do their best and helps when needed. Codie participates in marching band as well as concert band.

William Lingefelt Schley County Middle High School, Ellaville, GA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Dakoda Mincey. William has been a fantastic musician and reliable student in his time with the band. He has been a great teacher apprentice with a positive impact on the band that will show for years to come.

Josiah Mahar Bigelow High School, Bigelow, AR. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Noah Mellick. Josiah is an outstanding clarinet player who has a passion for performing and composing. Earning top chairs in regional and state honor ensembles, he works to perfect his craft and help teach others coming before him.

Samuel McCutchan Freedom Christian Academy, Fayetteville, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Jessica Davis. Sam has been a tremendous blessing to our band program ever since he joined as an enthusiastic beginner in 5th grade. He has grown into a strong leader among his peers, leading both pep band and jazz band. He is also an active member of the Fayetteville Symphonic Band. Sam consistently inspires and encourages others in the program, and he is an outstanding musician.

Soren McDaniel Summit High School, Spring Hill, TN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Horn, Director: Scott Atchley. Soren is a exceptional student and musician. He has earned every accolade through hard work and dedication. The Summit band has been very blessed to have had him for four years.

Garrett Moore Ridgeview High School, Clintwood, VA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Director: Kamryn Vandyke. Garrett Moore is a dedicated and driven instrumentalist who consistently strives for musical excellence. His recent audition at the district and state level reflects both his talent and commitment to continued growth. He has been a member of the Pride of the Pack Marching Band for 4 years and has consistently proven to be a strong section leader. Garrett is virtuosic musician and always performs with pride, passion and confidence. Through his hard work and strong musicianship, Garrett has proven himself to be a valuable member of the ensemble and is truly deserving of this prestigious award.

Taylor Moreno North Jackson High School, Stevenson, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Ryan Hayes. Taylor is a skilled and dedicated saxophone player with a consistently positive attitude, good leadership skills, and a regular eagerness to be successful and to assist others in their success. 

Alivia Mullaney New Waverly High School, New Waverly, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bb Clarinet, Director: Stephanie Wlodkowski. Alivia is a great leader in our band program. She has earned seats in the All-Region Band and advanced to Area Auditions. 

Anthony Mumford Jeff Davis High School Band, Hazlehurst, GA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Heroldany Artiga. Anthony is a student that exemplifies leadership and musicianship, accolades worthy of the Sousa award. He served as drum major this year as well as principal percussionist. Anthony was also selected to the 2026 GMEA District 8 Honor Band.

Jathan Nurinda Miami Senior High School, Miami, FL. Class of 2027. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Santiago Hernandez. A deeply gifted and humble musician, always seeking to learn and grow in music. He understands and accepts responsibility and can uplift an entire ensemble with only his presence and leadership. 

Joshua Oglesby San Augustine High School, San Augustine, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Jeremy Dergent. This student strives day in and day out to exemplify the true meaning of a leader in the band program. Josh is always the first student in the Band Hall for call time and does a fantastc job of motivating his peers towards greatness. Josh has been an integral part of our program and we are honored to recognize him at a national level.

Whitney Pageler West Central High Scholl, Hartford, SD. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Daniel Eye. Whitney is a 2 year All-State Orchestra member and 4 year All-State Band member. Whitney is only the 6th student from West Central to make All-State band 4 years! She is also a member of the South Dakota Symphony Youth Orchestra for 4 years.

Kyra Parker Overton Secondary School, Overton, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Saxophone, Director: Preston Parker. Kyra has served as drum major for two years, section leader, and been a leader involved in Ag and FFA. She goes above and beyond for our band and has given countless hours to the betterment of her classmates.

Emilia Parsons Satellite High School, Satellite Beach, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Joseph Leites. A four-year participant in band and orchestra, Emilia demonstrates all the qualities of a phenomenal musician and leader and will be a wonderful music educator in her future.

Roxana Reynoso Ramos Tonasket High School, Tonasket, WA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Casey McNett. Roxana started music as a Sophomore after her school started a music program again. In the beginning she was quite shy and as a senior she's gone all in on band. She's shown true leadership in her improvement in playing, actions and dedication to the program; even joining the choir her last year.

Ryan Schaap Jupiter Christian School, Jupiter, Florida. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Holly Cline. Ryan is a top tier trumpet player, achieving high excellence in musicianship and dedication. He is a student leader of the jazz band and has achieved seats in honor, county, and state bands several years in a row. Ryan also performs with community and professional performing groups. 

Thompson Scrivner Mount Paran Christian School, Kennesaw, GA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Dr. William Flood. Thompson was a member of the marching band, pep band, jazz ensemble, and concert band throughout middle and high school. In high school, he was a drum major, brass captain, and Tri-M president.

Evan Stahl Stillman Valley High School, Stillman Valley, IL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone , Director: John C. Gelasi. Evan has embodied the qualities of the Sousa Award throughout his high school band career at SVHS. He is a dedicated band student, excellent musician, and will major in music education in college. He has left a lasting impression on our band program that will be missed next year.

Joseph Stehlik Vernon Verona Sherrill High School, Verona, NY. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Linda Carter. Joseph has been in our band program since fourth grade. He always strives for musical excellence, even choosing this year to go to our NYSSMA solo festival on a challenging level six solo for fun! In addisiton to being in every possible ensemble from concert band, to marching band, jazz band and pit for our musical he is also in a local honors wind ensemble and has particpated in many all county bands. He is an outstnding leader having served as section leader and band officer for the last two years.

Jaeger Tombre Savage Public School, Savage, MT. Class of 2026. Instrument: Baritone, Director: Michelle Miller. Jaeger is an outstanding musician who goes above and beyond. This year he stepped up to the plate to help instruct the beginner band students to learn the art of music and playing their chosen instruments. If he did not know how to play something himself, he went out of his way to find out the information needed to teach others.

Marlee Toucheck Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy High School, Youngsville, LA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: John Irion. Marlee’s leadership as drum major and passion for music has left a lasting impact on our band program. She’s smart, works hard, and consistently earns her place in district/regional honor bands. Outside of school, she is a dedicated member of the Lafayette Concert Band.

Maddy Winters Mary Persons High School, Forsyth, GA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Tyler Allen. Maddy is an exceptional musician and leader for our organization. Her commitment and dedication towards her music will continue to serve her well in her future endeavors.

Liam Wong Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Jacksonville, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Greg Hersey. 6x Florida Music Federation Euphonium State Champion. 4x Florida All-State Band. 2x International Euphonium and Tuba Festival Soloist. 4x Florida Bandmasters Association State Soloist (All Superiors).

Micheal Wood Jr. Central Catholic High School, Toledo, Ohio. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Danielle Consolo. Michael has been a tremendous leader in our band since I began working at Central Catholic. He consistently overcomes any obstacle with a positive attitude, setting a strong example for those around him. In our smaller ensemble, Michael has shown incredible flexibility, confidently switching between instruments in the percussion section and demonstrating mastery of each part. He has been a true role model for our students and is one of the most spirited individuals in our school community. Michael’s hard work and determination set him apart, and it has truly been a pleasure to be his teacher over the past two years.
