Levi Adams Winchester High School, Winchester, Illinois. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Jonathon Mead. Awarded at the 2026 Winchester Bands - Spring Concert. In recognition of dedication, hard work, and good sportsmanship. Levi Adams played the baritone and percussion instruments (drumline) throughout his time in the band. Playing at parades, community events, band concerts, football games, basketball games, and other events.

Sierra was an outstanding leader in our program and was always eager to find better ways to solve problems. As a member of our leadership team, she took ownership of her role and demonstrated outstanding musicianship, determination, and excellence to all students.

Beginning band student who excelled at playing flute and taught himself how to play oboe while transitioning back from COVID. A humble and supportive young man who is a young scholar.

Sebastian Andrade-Rondon North Port High School, North Port, Florida. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bassoon, Director: Lorianne Alegria. Sebastian was born in the U.S. and raised in Venezuela, almost without any exposure to classical music or the bassoon. Once he moved to Florida, he happened to pick band class at random for his middle school schedule, and then chose to play the bassoon despite never having seen one before as it seemed intriguing to him. He has worked to become the best musician he can become ever since, and has had a lot of fun while doing so despite the challenges!

Lola Antz Clearwater High School, Clearwater, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Joseph Rosen. In addition to her primary instrument, she also plays the Alto Sax, Soprano Sax, Bass Clarinet, Mellophone, Marching Base Drum, Guitar, and sings. She performed in every ensemble: concert band, jazz band, and playing music live for the school musical. She was assistant drum major her Jr and Sr years. She also played in the All County Orchestra and transposed the music from Base Clef into Treble Clef. She has also performed with USF at the Festival of the Winds for the last 2 years. She is attending St. Pete College and plans to transfer to USF to pursue her dream of performing music and majoring in Music Education.

He Marched DCI for two years, Competed in over 20 clinics over 5 years, and placed first in the state clinic auditions. Chandler is a model student for our band program.

Tanya Arun played Bassoon in high school concert band, She was a District level ILMEA student from 7th grade through high school and made ILMEA All- State in 2026. She also excelled at marimba in marching band.

Gracelyn is outstanding band student with the uninterrupted band participation through all school years. She has been involved with the program at every possible level (Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Indoor Drumline, Tri-M and more). She is planning to pursue music after high school.

Leonardo Balderas Del Valle High School, Del Valle, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Jason Dunn. Leo was our loading crew chief, 1st chair tubist, TMEA Region Band participant, and a UIL State Solo Ensemble medalist. He is also an impeccable role model for our younger students.

Mackenzie Baltierrez Zimmerman Middle High School, Zimmerman, MN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bass Clarinet, Director: David Kaiser. Mackenzie is a 7-year band student that also plays in jazz band, marching band, and pit orchestra. They plan to attend college and pursue a degree in social work.

Enea Bardhi Sterling Heights High School, Sterling Heights, MI. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bass Clarinet, Director: Enea Bardhi. Enea Bardhi served as Drum Major for two years for the stallions. He played Bass Clarinet and earned a division one all four years of his marching career.

Clement Barney Spanish Fork High School, Spanish Fork, UT. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Clint Roberts. Clement earned our school Instrumental Music Sterling Scholar, Superior at State S/E, served as drum kit in the Jazz Band, and served as center snare in the Marching Dons for 2025-2026.

Allie Bartolome, Brookwood High School, Brookwood, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Rebecca Curtin. Allie served as Band Captain her senior year and maintained first chair in the concert band for the entirety of her junior and senior year. During this time she was featured as a soloist during several concert cycles including the piccolo solo in Stars and Stripes Forever. During her Senior year she attended honor bands across the Southeast, earned her spot into the Alabama Orchestra Association South Regional Orchestra and the Alabama All State Red Band. Allie is planning to pursue music professionally and will be an assist to the music community for years to come.

Russell Baxter American Christian Academy, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Heather Henson. Russell Baxter served as Percussion Captain his junior and senior year. He was principal chair percussion in the Patriot Band and Bass Section Leader in the Patriot Choir. He was a 2-year member of the Alabama High School All-State Bands. Russell is a member of the Tri-M National Honor Society and served as President his senior year. Russell will be attending The University of Alabama pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and has earned a spot on keyboards in the Million Dollar Band front ensemble.

Nathaniel Bearden Sugar Hill Christian Academy, Sugar Hill, GA. Class of 2027. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Sherry Wiltshire. Nathan is an integral part of the SHCA band, not only as a strong section leader, but also as an example to others with his dependability, leadership skills and of course excellent musicianship. He is a versatile player as well, moving from bass clarinet to clarinet as needed and even trombone in jazz band. Nathan exemplifies the spirit of a true bandsman!

Nina Bei Farragut High School, Knoxville, Tennessee. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Andrew Smith . Nina has been a tremendous leader and player throughout her high school career. Nina earned All-State honors all four years in high school as well as in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Additionally, Nina has held leadership positions in the band for the past three years.

Zachary Bell Wharton High School, Tampa, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Sax, Director: Joshua Daniels. Zachary Bell is an accomplished drum major, proficient student conductor, and talented arranger whose musical leadership has strengthened our program. An academically strong student and skilled tenor saxophone player, he represents our school with professionalism, dedication, and excellence both on and off the field.

Noah Beren Barron Collier High School, Naples, Florida. Class of 2027. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Kevin Lopez. Noah Barron is a 12th-grade percussionist and Drum Major at Barron Collier High School. He is a member of both the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band and was the 2025–2026 recipient of the John Philip Sousa Band Award, recognizing his outstanding musicianship, leadership, and dedication to the band program.

Aiden Alexander Billings Uvalde High School, Uvalde , TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: French Horn, Director: Marcos Molina. Mr. Billings has been a dedicated musician through his years in the Uvalde band program. Mr. Billings has been featured as a soloist or in an ensemble for every marching production. In 2025 Mr. Billings earned first chair trumpet for the ATSSB region 11 jazz band and is marching mellophone for the 2026 Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps.

Kylah Blanchard West Jefferson High School, West Jefferson, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bassoon, Baritone Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Oboe, Alto Saxophone , Director: Chris Bechtol. Kylah was a leader in band and always showed a positive attitude. She was always around to help other students and due to this they looked up to her.

First Year on Euphonium, year 2 and 3 on Trombone in All-State Jazz Band. Braelyn is an Outstanding Student Leader for both Band and our school. Braelyn was one of the Best Drum Majors for our Marching Band has ever had.

Dale Boyles Arkansas High School Band, Texarkana, AR. Class of 2026. Instrument: Baritone Saxophone, Director: Vincent Flieder. A selfless and versatile musician, they stepped up wherever needed, mastering contra-alto clarinet, flute, and tuba to support the band and further their musical understanding. Their adaptability, work ethic, and team-first mindset have made a lasting impact on the band’s success.

Robert Bracamontes Math, Science, and Technology Magnet Academy at Roosevelt High School, Boyle Heights, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Pedro Ramos. Robert is a dedicated, genuine, and intelligent individual who always commits to the fullest extent. His peers, and teachers are extremely fortunate and blessed for his integrity and authenticity.

Jude D. Brandt Lake Oswego High School, Lake Oswego, Oregon. Class of 2026. Instrument: Bass Clarinet, Bb Soprano Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, Director: Kevin Rouse. Jude D. Brandt was honored to be member of the Lake Oswego High School Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band. A multi-instrumentalist, Jude received multiple state and regional performance awards. He is deeply grateful to School Music Director Kevin Rouse and all his fellow musicians.

Zachary Breitenstein Pine Island High School, Pine Island, MN. Class of 2026. Instrument: F horn, Director: Barbara Hoppe. A proficient horn player, Zach also learned trumpet and mellophone to give him more flexibility in extra ensembles. He was the recipient of the Pine Island High School's 2026 National Choral Award as well.

Ryan Brewer Woodmont High School - Band, Piedmont, SC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Brent Schooley. Ryan Brewer represents the best of our school and band program. He is incredibly humble and eager to help all around him. Ryan is a talented young composer with a bright future ahead.

Trenton Browder Foley High School , Foley, Alabama. Class of 2026. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: David Samuel. Trenton Browder serves as a Student Leader in the Foley HS Band. He has worked hard to participate in numerous honor bands in the United States.

Tavis Brown Overhills High School, Spring Lake, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Malachi J. Cobb. Tavis is a tremendous musician and an aspiring future music educator. He has served as our first chair flutist throughout this school year, consistently demonstrating strong leadership and musicianship. Tavis has a genuine heart to serve, which is an invaluable asset for anyone entering the field of music education. In addition to his performance skills, he has a growing interest in composing and arranging music, further showcasing his passion and versatility within the art form.

Ashley Bucher Olympia High School, Orlando, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute/Oboe, Director: Jacob Pickett. Ashley has played flute for many different ensembles inside and outside the school, while playing different woodwinds and playing oboe in the Wind Ensemble. We were given the opportunity to perform in the famous Carnegie hall performing difficult musical literatures making a highlight throughout my high school experience. I plan to continue with music in college and be in music performance on flute!

Finius Burkett Courtland High School, Fredericksburg, VA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor sax , Director: Gene Mills. Fin is an integral part of our program including marching band leadership, wind ensemble and jazz band as well as various other community ensembles.

Taylor Burns Althoff Catholic High School, Belleville, IL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: David Justice. Taylor has been through multiple different formats and band directors in her time at her school. No matter what the music department throws in her way she practices when needed, asks for help, and overall a student who more than deserves this award. She helped set the precedent of what a band student should be and should strive for. The ACHS Music Department looks forward to seeing her future accomplishments. 

Kaylee Butler Ozark High School, Ozark, AR. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Director: James Maestri. Kaylee successfully made the all-region band and was selected to audition for the all-state band in Arkansas her senior year. Kaylee is going to pursue a career in the Air Force after graduation.

Myles Byrd Woodmore High School, Elmore, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Kenneth Emerine. Myles was first chair and percussion section leader for marching band and concert band his junior and senior years. An outstanding player and leader, he also earned first chair in the OMEA D2 Honors Band, Superior ratings in Solo Ensemble in class B and A, and served as Band Vice President.

Amber Calder Hardin-Jefferson High School, Sour Lake, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Martin Trammel. Amber is a wonderful leader, inclusive of ALL band students, a fantastic champion and encourager, and plays beautifully. She has made a lasting impact on our program and as her director I am grateful that music as the avenue that allowed our paths to cross.

Jose Antonio Carrillo Bovina High School, Bovina, TX. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Enrrique Carrillo. Jose Antonio "Tony" Carrillo held multiple leadership positions in the Bovina Band Program. He earned positions in region honor bands and was a State Qualifier in the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest as a solist and leader of a trumpet sextet. Tony graduated as Valedictorian from Bovina High School in 2026.

Sofia Violet Covarrubias Keller Battle Creek Academy, Battle Creek, Michigan. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: David Mori. Sofia is a four-year member of the Concert Band and was elected as the Band Captain this year. She leads behind the scenes, consistently acting as a role-model for her peers and tutoring younger students after school. A budding musician, she enjoys playing music, especially in large ensembles.

Brody is an exemplary student, currently ranked 3rd in his class of 123 with a 4.58 GPA. He approaches his academics with diligence, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity, and he consistently strives for excellence. His recognition as a Coffee County Youth Leadership Program Representative, McLin Scholarship recipient, and officer in the National Beta Club are just a few indicators of his ability to lead and inspire among his peers. Darsh Doshi has been playing the flute from the 4th through 12th grade for the Hercules Elementary, Middle and High School Bands. During the 2025-2026 school year, as a 12th grader, Darsh was the Drum Major for the Hercules High School Marching Band and directed and lead the Band for the Disneyland Parade Route Performance. Darsh has achieved the Principal Honor Roll for his entire high school experience and has also been a member of the HHS Symphonic and Marching Bands. Finley was an all-state band member her freshman and sophomore years, and was principal horn in the all-state orchestra her junior and senior years and was a member of the All-Northwest Orchestra in 2025. Her mother won the award in 1990 and her grandfather 60 years ago in 1966.

Ethan has been a valued member of the Red Creek band program since 2017, where he began his musical studies. He consistently strives for excellence, is eager to learn, and is a tremendous asset to our band program through his positive attitude, dedication, and musicianship.

A formidable trumpeter and a cornerstone of our leadership this year, Lillian truly personifies the spirit of this award. Sophia Hale South Park High School, South Park, PA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Michael Sisley. Sophia is a hardworking extremely talented musician and leader. She has always been one of the strongest musicians in her time in the music program and has been an absolute pleasure to teach.

Josiah Hall Milton High School, Milton, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Michael Schultz. Josiah has constantly made the Florida All-State Band seven years straight. He is a multi-talented student, giving performances on Bb Clarinet, Eb Clarient in the wind ensemble as well as Alto saxophone and Tenor Saxophone in the jazz band. He is also a member of our high school chorus program.

Lillie is a wonderful human being who is a selfless leader. She has done so much for the betterment of the program not only as a tremendous musician but also through her service.

Evan Hammond Fairfield Christian Academy, Lancaster, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: trumpet, Director: Kaylan Featheroff. Evan has been dedicated to the marching band since his 6th grade year, and he has been the face of our band for three years. Evan is a cheerful, helpful, talented trumpet player who is a natural leader and is always willing to lend a hand to his fellow students. His musical excellence and strong work ethic set a great example for those around him. Brylee Heimgartner Flinthills USD 492, Rosalia, KS. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet/Baritone, Director: Emily O'Banion. Brylee is an exceptionally hard worker. She has spent her time in band being a leader to her younger peers as well as thriving on her two instruments. Brylee has also striven to learn other instruments when needed. Morgan achieved honors in Region Band many times, and is a State Solo Qualifier. Morgan also plays piano very well, and is an aspiring composer.

Benjamin Hernandez Gal AA Stagg High School, Stockton, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Jerren Robinson. A leader and an inspiration, Benjamin has paved the way for our music program to flourish. Between playing tuba, helping out the entire brass section, and arranging music for the band to play, the sky’s the limit for this young man.

Cristian Hernandez-Horta Oscar Smith High School, Chesapeake, Virginia. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Emily Wolcott. Cristian has shown exemplary dedication to musicianship and leadership. He has performed in the marching band on sousaphone as the brass captain will multiple trombone solos, has performed in the concert and symphonic bands on trombone and euphonium, and has been a part of pep band, jazz band, the musical pit orchestras for A Chorus Line, Mean Girls, and Matilda, and Mary Poppins. Cristian is a member of Tri-M Music Honor Society. Cristian is a leader among peers, participates in annual district band performances, and is headed to Old Dominion University for Music Education.

Jackson Hightower Oak Grove High School, Hattiesburg , MS. Class of 2026. Instrument: French Horn , Director: Courtney S. Wells. Jackson Hightower is Mississippi’s 1st Chair All-State French Horn and a multi-year member of the Mississippi Lions Band and All-State Honor Band. A frequent principal chair at honor bands, he is known for his passion for learning, embracing high standards, and approaching every rehearsal and performance with enthusiasm, discipline, leadership, and musical excellence.

Owen Jensen was awarded the John Philip Sousa Award in recognition of his superior musicianship, dependable leadership, and 5 years of unwavering dedication to the band program. He consistently set a high standard of excellence for his peers through both his performance and his character. In addition to serving on the Leadership Team and being a principal player of the school's top ensembles, he also participated in the NoCo Honor Band, NoCo Jazz Honors, CSU Honor Band, CSU Honor Jazz, CU Honor Band, All-State Orchestra, and All-State Band. Anthony Jimenez is a 2 time All State Honor Festival participant, and a 4 year Regional Honor Festival participant, he has performed and advanced in multiple Solo and Ensemble Festivals over the last 4 years, performs in the Tucson Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, Santa Cruz Winds all in addition to our school Wind Ensemble as well. Ahjung has participated in Council Rock North's marching and concert bands throughout high school, serving as clarinet section leader and first chair, as well as assistant drum major. She has also participated in BCMEA Band and Orchestra for three years and was selected for PMEA Region 6 Band and District 11 Band. Phoenix King is a dedicated baritone saxophone player active in concert band and pep band. He has performed in District Honor Band as well as both district and state music festivals. Seth Kinzie Archer City High School, Archer City, Texas. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Anthony Flores. Seth began playing tuba in the 7th grade. Due to medical issues, he was switched to percussion. Seth immediately loved percussion. Seth progressed each year and helped establish our new percussion line. His dedication to the percussion section and the band earned him the opportunity to become a leader and Percussion Captain, a position he held all four years in the high school band.

Colin has been in the marching band, jazz band, and indoor drumline for four years and the concert band for two years. He has spent the last three seasons as section leader for both the marching band, concert band, and indoor drumline.

Grant Kitchen El Camino High School , South San Francisco, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Piano and Percussion, Director: Ray Galela. Grant held the position of piano chair in Jazz Band and was a percussionist in Symphonic Band. He earned accolades for outstanding solo performances at various jazz festivals, served as Band President, and was a member of the Miles Ahead Band, an all-star high school jazz band who competed at the Essentially Ellington Festival held in New York City.

Myzin is a multi-instrumentalist and composer/arranger who has dedicated their time, effort and leadership to the music program at ND. They played in band all four years of high school, played in jazz combos, the Pit Orchestra for the musical, and sang in after-school choir as well. Their Senior capstone was to teach, rehearse and conduct a band piece for the Spring Concert.

Homoel Leon Miami Beach Senior High School, Miami Beach, FL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Marie Burges. Homoel Leon exhibited the highest standard of musicianship, leadership, and determination in his 4 years at MBSH. Homoel helped build the band from the ground up and aided in getting MBSH Bands back to its rich tradition.

Giada Liccardi Pieper High School, San Antonio, Texas. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Evan Berry. Giada Liccardi was the first-ever Texas All-State Band member from Pieper High School, and she achieved this outstanding accomplishment twice! Giada set the standard for musicianship for all students in the Pieper Band of Warriors, inspiring older students to eventually make the band, and those younger than her to carry on the tradition. She led by example in everything she did for our program, a model of character and musicianship.

Yoshi Lim Pioneer High School, Woodland, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Director: Marisa Finlayson. Yoshi Lim has participated in Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band for all four years of high school as a tenor saxophone player. Yoshi has held the position of section leader and has been featured as a solo player on a number of occasions.

Lilly Luchini Wild Rose School District, Wild Rose, WI. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Mikayla Mixdorf. Lilly is an outstanding percussionist with a passion for music and sports. She has participated in multiple honors bands, pep bands, concerts, drum lines, state solo ensembles, and all star band for numerous years. She demonstrates all of the qualities of an amazing leader that many students look up to. She is an absolutely wonderful person that is going to be missed. Thank you for everything Lilly!

Katherine Luginbuhl Reynoldsburg High School , Reynoldsburg, OH. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion , Director: Jason Gibson/ Scott Tennant. Katie Luginbuhl is a triple letterman who has been a percussionist since fourth grade. She served as section leader and center while earning a 4.3 GPA. She was recommended for honor band multiple times, and received a scholarship from the Reynoldsburg Band Boosters to go toward her higher education at the University of Miami, Ohio. Her hard work and diligence was evident all four years that she played for the Raider Marching Pride.

She has performed with the High School Band, Jazz Band, the middle school bands, select choir, treble choir, and an Acapella group. She is an incredibly talented musician in all areas.

William, or Liam, is an All-State level trombone player who studied privately for many years and led his section beginning his freshman year. He was honored with acceptance to NYSSMA Conference All-State in 2024, was section leader for 4 years in Area All-State and 3 years in All County while in high school. At home, Liam is trombone section leader, drum major of our high school marching band and a silver medalist with the JCB Winter Guard at WGI World Championships.

Adrian Martinez Kennett High School Band, Kennett, MO. Class of 2026. Instrument: Baritone Saxophone, Director: Dustin Bush. Adrian Martinez is Valedictorian, Student Body President, and a leader in music and arts. He served three years as Drum Major, earned excellent District Solo Ensemble ratings, and received four consecutive Gold Medal vocal solo honors at district and state levels. Jaxon Martinez has been a part of the Marching Raider Band for 7 years, participated in 4 years of Indoor Drumline, and has been an integral part of the Raider Band family. Lily has been a dedicated and accomplished member of the band program, earning PMEA Region Band selection three times, First Chair Flute in the 2026 Region Band, and selection to the 2026 PMEA All-State Band. As Drum Major, she has demonstrated strong leadership, musicianship, and dedication, and will continue her music education journey to become a music teacher.

Cash McCullough South Brunswick High School, Southport, North Carolina. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba/Bass Trombone, Director: Michael Palmer. Cash McCullough served the Pride of the South Coast as assistant brass captain in 2025 and always did a great job motivating and inspiring his peers of all ages. Cash excelled in all 3 of our ensembles- marching band, concert band, and jazz ensemble, while also performing frequently in the community band and its brass band. His effort and love of music were often a positive influence on his bandmates. His personal accolades are significant as well: All-County Band Selection all 4 years, All-District Band selection in 2023 and 2026, and 2026 UNCP Honor Band. He is attending East Carolina University in the fall to pursue a degree in music performance on tuba.

Samuel McCutchan Freedom Christian Academy, Fayetteville, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Jessica Davis. Sam has been a tremendous blessing to our band program ever since he joined as an enthusiastic beginner in 5th grade. He has grown into a strong leader among his peers, leading both pep band and jazz band. He is also an active member of the Fayetteville Symphonic Band. Sam consistently inspires and encourages others in the program, and he is an outstanding musician.

Charles Garrett Morgan Hopkins County Central High School, Madisonville, KY. Class of 2026. Instrument: Saxophone, Director: David Moss. Garrett Morgan is a Saxophonist from Hopkins County Central High School. In his 4 years in the music dept. at his school he has been of the HCCHS Storm Marching, Jazz and Concert Bands, and is also a part of the HCCHS Chamber Choir a.k.a. “The Lightning Resonance.” Morgan has been in many lead saxophone positions in bands and honors like KMEA All-District, Racer Instrumental Music Academy, WKU Honors (Jazz and Concert), and a distinguished rating solo at the state level, etc., Morgan has also been a twice attendant at KMEA ALL-State Choir. He is proud to a member of the Storm Music Dept. and will never forget his roots!

Throughout his high school career, Zuhair has consistently demonstrated the qualities of musicianship, leadership, dependability, and loyalty to the highest degree. As Brass Field Marshall he has striven to improve his section and the band through focused feedback, modeling, and support of his peers. In adding an interest in composition senior year, he displayed a continuous drive to grow musically and add depth to the overall ensemble.

Liam Orcutt Millbrook High School, Raleigh, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trombone, Director: Georgia Kate Shelton. Liam’s leadership and passion are probably his greatest attributes. He is a joy to have in class, a true mentor to students that need help, and a dedicated colleague to his fellow students. As educators, we don’t always have the opportunity to say such things, but Liam has been one of my favorite students not just because of his work, but because of how well he represents Millbrook High School. He has helped me on countless occasions. These characteristics of hard work, leadership and class have made his potential as a professional student and musician boundless. I have no doubt that in the future, both near and far, Liam Orcutt will demonstrate actions which will make me, the band, and Millbrook High School proud. He has been the Drum Major for the Spirit of Joshua Marching Band for the past two years, and has been our top leader within the band program. He also made the TMEA All-Region Band his senior year, in UIL Academics and the Debate Team. He is not only in the top 10 of his graduating class, but he is a wonderful person, hard worker, and will be successful in any career path he chooses.

John Pittard Commerce High School, Commerce, GA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Julie Dixon. While a student at Commerce High School John has always challenged himself academically, as well as personally. He is an active participant in our band program serving as brass captain and band captain for the past two years. He has superb organization and leadership skills. John leads by example helping others to achieve their goals. He is always willing to do any task that is asked of him. John has participated in Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band during all four years of high school. He is a UGA Merit Scholar, Beta Club Member, Scholar Athlete for Golf, has been nominated for Governor’s Honors for Music and is a John Phillips Sousa Award Winner, 3 time District Honor Band Award Winner. He was also selected to represent our program at UGA MidFest in 2021 and JanFest in 2023-2025.

Silas Reynolds Holly Pond High School, Holly Pond, AL. Class of 2026. Instrument: Saxohpone/Percussion, Director: Steven Porter. Silas Reynolds has been a member of Concert, Jazz/Rock and Marching Band since August 2021, and in Choir as of 2025. His performance in class, as well as performances outside of class, has been exemplary. In Marching band, Silas was Drum Major in his 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. He has run sectionals and learned the music—and instrument—very quickly. Silas has proven to be a great leader, in addition to helping other members of all sections gain an understanding of the music. Silas is a “sponge” in the world of performance. He seems to be in the mind of: “There is always one more thing I can do to help.” 

Roxana Reynoso Ramos Tonasket High School, Tonasket, WA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Casey McNett. Roxana started music as a Sophomore after her school started a music program again. In the beginning she was quite shy and as a senior she's gone all in on band. She's shown true leadership in her improvement in playing, actions and dedication to the program; even joining the choir her last year.

Ri’Chard Rose is a talented clarinet player from Orlando who has made a lasting impact through his leadership, musicianship, and dedication to excellence. Throughout his high school career, he earned recognition through several prestigious honor bands, including the 2024 FSU Tri-State Festival where he earned 1st Chair, the 2025 USF Festival of Winds Honor Band, the 2025 and 2026 OCPS All-County Bands where he earned both 2nd Chair and 1st Chair honors, and the 2026 Jackson State University Honor Band where he was awarded 1st Chair. He proudly served as President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, where he led and taught his peers through his own ensemble, inspiring those around him with passion and commitment to music. With 12 MPA Solo Ensemble Superior ratings along with Outstanding Musicianship and Outstanding Leadership honors, he has consistently demonstrated excellence both on and off the field. He has officially committed to Jackson State University to continue his musical journey.

Lily is a hardworking musician and leader who consistently demonstrated dedication to her section and the entire band program. As the Woodwind Captain, she independently led the flute, clarinet, and saxophone sections while mentoring many younger students and encouraging them to improve every day. Her positive attitude, strong leadership, and willingness to help others made a lasting impact on the ensemble. Lily was always excited to learn new music, perform solos and duets, and challenge herself as a musician. She successfully balanced performing on bari saxophone while also playing alto saxophone in both concert band, marching band, and jazz band, showing remarkable versatility and commitment. Her musicianship, leadership, and determination will continue to take her far, and there is no doubt she will accomplish great things in the future.

Thompson was a member of the marching band, pep band, jazz ensemble, and concert band throughout middle and high school. In high school, he was a drum major, brass captain, and Tri-M president.

She also served as the Woodwind Captain and Clarinet Section Leader. Kayla was principal chair clarinet for three years. She was a 4-year member of the Alabama High School All-State Bands, including the All-State Red Band her junior senior years. Kayla is a member of the Tri-M National Honor Society and served as Secretary. Kayla will be attending Shelton State Community College pursuing a degree in business.

Noah is a student who had performed as the drum major of the RHS band for the past two years. He had also auditioned and been accepted into outside school events such as SIUE Bi-State (4-years) and ILMEA All-District Band.

Taylan Smith Clayton High School, Clayton, North Carolina. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Jennifer Dewey-Isley. An aspiring Band Director that stays positive and uplifting of all of his peers. He has grown into a phenomenal tuba player and continues to support the band by assisting all other students to achieve their highest success. Emma Swanson Custer County District High School, Miles City, Montana. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Chase Breitbach. Emma puts her whole heart and soul into music. I believe that she's put in more effort and work than almost anyone else in the band. Emma makes everyone feel welcome, and is both positive and fun to be around. Whether it be as a model of proper decorum or as a model of exceptional playing, her influence has greatly helped to shape our ensemble. Micheal Wood Jr. Central Catholic High School, Toledo, Ohio. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Danielle Consolo. Micheal has been a tremendous leader in our band since I began working at Central Catholic. He consistently overcomes any obstacle with a positive attitude, setting a strong example for those around him. In our smaller ensemble, Micheal has shown incredible flexibility, confidently switching between instruments in the percussion section and demonstrating mastery of each part. He has been a true role model for our students and is one of the most spirited individuals in our school community. Micheal’s hard work and determination set him apart, and it has truly been a pleasure to be his teacher over the past two years.

Sadie Woodyard Chatfield Senior High School, Littleton, CO. Class of 2026. Instrument: Trumpet, Director: Dylan Ford. Sadie Woodyard is a wonderful trumpet player in Wind Ensemble and in Jazz Band. She shined in our band program as Head Drum Major for two years, and her steady leadership has truly had a positive impact on our band program.

Javon Wright Andrews High School, Andrews, SC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Percussion, Director: Dr. Christopher Miller. Javon is a natural leader, he is passionate about percussion and always strives for perfection.

Justin Wright Mt. Vernon High School, Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tuba, Director: Alex Weinzierl. Two-time All-State principal tubist, World-Class DCI Member, countless local, state, and national honor ensembles and experiences. One of the most decorated high school band students in the Midwest. Blazed a trail for future Mt. Vernon Band students.

Sakina Wright School for Creative Performing Arts, Cincinnati, Ohio. Class of 2026. Instrument: Flute, Director: Josclynn Garrison. Sakina Wright received the 2026 award due to her dedication to leadership as the inaugural President of the Band Student Leadership Council and Principal Chair of our Wind Ensemble for multiple years in a row. Additionally, this student took every opportunity to show and represent the band program at SCPA.

Celia Xu St. Margaret's Episcopal School, San Juan Capistrano, CA. Class of 2027. Instrument: Alto Sax, Director: Chris Carbajal. Celia Xu, alto saxophonist, has been a dedicated member of the school band, pit orchestra, and Tartan Revue. She passed the ABRSM Grade 8 Saxophone Exam, performs at church and senior centers, and volunteers at Mission Hospital. Celia also assists with Taekwondo and participates in Digital Leadership.

Sarah E. Yoakley Oliver Springs High School, Oliver Springs, TN. Class of 2026. Instrument: Alto Saxophone, Director: Tim Michaels. 

Grayson Yoder Cardinal Jr./Sr. High School, Middlefield, Ohio. Class of 2026. Instrument: Tenor Saxophone, Director: Frank Sanzo. While at Cardinal, Grayson was involved in every ensemble he could be a part of, including Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Marching Band, and Saxophone Ensemble. Additionally, he participated in Solo and Ensemble events, receiving high ratings with his ensemble, and was even a Lieutenant for this past marching season.

Hanul Yu Hawaiian Mission Academy, Honolulu, HI. Class of 2026. Instrument: Euphonium, Director: Roberto B. Leal. Always eager to learn, Hanul Yu consistently explores new ways to improve himself and those around him. Hanul is a self-motivated and endlessly curious musician who is excited to explore every possibility a future in music may hold.

Adrian Zamora Lincoln High School, San Diego, CA. Class of 2026. Instrument: Cello, Flute and Piccolo, Director: Jonah Perine. This student showed extreme prowess and knowledge of ensemble music. Self-taught the flute after learning the basics of cello from two years of education. This student finished their senior year performing solos with the string orchestra.

Claire Zinkand Gray’s Creek High School, Hope Mills, NC. Class of 2026. Instrument: Clarinet, Director: Thomas Stovall. Claire, our principal clarinetist, placed into All County, All District and All State Honors Band her senior year and earned a superior rating at Solo and Ensemble MPA. She was also featured as a soloist with Cumberland County Youth Orchestra.
